Federico Lamas (Buenos Aires, 1979) es un artista visual independiente. Diseñador de Imagen y Sonido de FADU-UBA. Realizó residencias en Hannover , São Paulo , México DF , Santa Cruz de la Sierra y Québec City. Entre 2019 y 2025 exhibió en Argentina, Mexico, Brasil, Canadá, Portugal, Alemania y Noruega. 

Con sus videos experimentales e instalaciones participó 5 veces del festival VIDEOBRASIL en São Paulo, donde gano en 2 oportunidades. Sus VJ sets también se presentan en Museos, Galerías y Festivales, destacando: MUTEK Argentina, MAMBA, Bienal de Arte Joven, B23 Berlin, Salon Los Angeles Mexico, ArtLab Buenos Aires, Casa Plana Sao Paulo, Festival Tremor Azores, Oi Flamingo Rio de Janeiro, o FIFA Montreal.

Su proyecto en constante expansión es Vision Infernal, en donde las ilustraciones y animaciones permiten develar por medio de un visor rojo, otra escena escondida. Con este proyecto ganó en ArteBA con su exhibición en Barrio Joven, se editaron libros, exhibiciones, serigrafías y murales alrededor del mundo destacando: LUSTR Praga, Gran Salon Mexico, Museo Nacional del Grabado, Museo del Norte, A Bolha editora, DRAWING ROOM Lisboa, RV Galeria en Salvador de Bahia, Flekkefjord Museum, Nómada Madrid y mucho más.

También colabora con la escena teatral como diseñador de video en obras del Teatro Nacional Cervantes , Teatro Gral San Martín,  en el teatro Colón, o en el CETC del mismo dirigió el monodrama “The Raven”, donde también hizo el diseño de video y proyecciones. 

Sus video-publicaciones, ilustraciones, serigrafías, originales y libros están disponibles en tiendas alrededor del mundo o en sus redes.

En Junio de 2024 este año estrenó en la Bienal  de Orebro en Suecia una nueva instalación de Visión Infernal en coincidencia con el 15 aniversario del proyecto. En 205 participó de ARTOWN NOW Rumania en la ciudad de Ploiesti.

Federico Lamas is a visual artist who works with installations, video art, VJ sets or theater plays. But his outstanding work and in constant expansion since 2008 is Hellish Vision, an illustration project with an optical effect through which, with the help of a red viewer, we can access another hidden reality. 

Visión Infernal / Hellish Vision is an inseparable concept and technique that works as a tool to build an honest look at everyday issues. The duality of the illustrations makes it possible to oppose or amplify meanings and definitions of themes rooted in society. It is part of the fun to put some of these two-part concepts in crisis. The control of the navigation is always with the audience and the possible meaning as well. Each image has a hidden scene that can only be revealed with the viewer, an image that contrasts and dialogues with the one we see at first sight, generating an playful interaction with some reflection. 

He published books and  prints with Visión Infernal but he also has used this system to apply it to record covers, murals, wine and perfume labels and has had exhibitions in different parts of the world.

In the last years “Visión Infernal” has several exhibitions highlighting : ARTOW NON Rumania at the city of Ploiesti, OPENART Orebro Bienal in Sweden; Graphic museum in Buenos Aires, B23 Gallery in Berlin, Casa Plana in Sao Paulo, Brasil ; Drawing Room Lisboa; La Bande Gallery in Quebec, Canada; Gran Salon Mexico and many more.

As video artist he participated in several Festivals and Residences programes suchs as : Videobrasl Bienal ( being part of the competition 5 times and wining 2); Kiosko Gallery in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia; Up and Coming Hannover, Germany; MUTEK festival, Tremor Festival at Azores Island, Multiplicidade Fest in Rio de Janeiro, LES INSTANTS Festival D’Art Marseille, France; Simultan Festival, Rumania, Turku Video Art in Finland among others.
